Lori Bolt- STEAM Academy Director

Lori Bolt has her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with concentrations in Special Education and Social Science. She taught fourth grade for a number of years in Michigan and worked at a Christian Preschool in Illinois.

Lori is a member of First Assembly Community Ministries (soon to be River City Church) and is active in the ministries of the church with her husband and two children.

Lori started on the STEAM Academy advisory board over a year ago and has been very involved with the launch and curriculum planning of the three and four-year-old pilot program.
In 2017 she attended Cal Tech’s Early Childhood Education STEM Conference and has attended Purdue’s Indiana STEM School Summit.
She is passionate about the STEAM philosophy of asking open-ended questions to spark critical thinking and processing in students. Her goal is to give each student a great foundation and a love for learning as they move into their elementary years and create a passion for learning that will follow them throughout their education.
